According to WTTC, India’s tourism sector contributed 5% to the GDP in 2022. The revenue is estimated to reach USD 520 billion by 2030, coupled with employment creation of 53 million by 2029.

The GOI launched various other programs like Swadesh Darshan, Dekho Apna Desh and has relaxed visa laws for several countries to attract more international tourists.
